What originally started as a UK series and eventually made its way into the US has now once again become a much loved improve show. Whose Line Is It Anyway came to America in 1998. With host Drew Carey and a regular cast of three comedians/actors, the show also featured a guest star that changed weekly. The show lasted for eight years before coming to an end in 2006.
While fans of the series said their goodbyes, it turns out they didn’t have to wait long, as the show was revived by the CW soon after. But, the new revival was missing one thing: the host.
Many fans began watching simply because Drew Carey was on board. While the repeated comedians, like Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles did gain fans after a few episodes, most of the audience viewers favored Drew.
Today, Aisha Tyler hosts the show. While the host changed, CW did manage to redesign a more modern set similar to the original, while keeping many of the same games and also getting the three original cast members back on board: Colin, Ryan, and Wayne Brady.
The show’s revival has brought on a new generation of fans, but many of those who got the chance to see the original US series say that Drew Carey is still needed to finish off the series. Despite the newest seasons rating well with fans, many have repeatedly mentioned in their reviews that they miss Drew, but they still only have great things to say about the show.
While many feel that Drew will bring the show back together once and for all, there’s no doubt that the new seasons are getting along fine without him. The return of the show has brought about many new fans, and has led to a spike in re-plays of the older seasons, too.
Even the UK version of the show has garnered some attention after the series made a return in the US. Even with some pleading for Drew to rejoin the cast, fans still appear to love the newest seasons.
Many have expressed their joy for seeing three of the original cast members come back for the revival, and fans of the older seasons have also stated that they’re glad the newest seasons mix both new and old games.
Among the new improve games used on the show, the most popular amongst fans seems to be Sideways Scenes. While none of the acts fail to provoke laughter from viewers, it seems everyone has their own favorite game.
Whose Line is quickly climbing its way up in the ranks as one of the most successful and hilarious shows on air. The guest stars have also helped bring more fans to the newest seasons, with episodes featuring Misha Collins from CW’s Supernatural and other prominent singers, actors, and comedians.
The show has also brought back some of the recurring guest stars from the older seasons, including fan-favorite Brad Sherwood and Greg Proops. The newer seasons have also seen the return of Linda Taylor and Laura Hall, who provided the musical effects for the earlier seasons, too.
The newest seasons have proven to be just as successful as the original seasons, if not more so. The show’s often absurd comedy has brought the network great ratings among viewers of all ages, and it seems many of those who favored the earlier seasons have come back to enjoy Whose Line once more.
While the original seasons came to an abrupt end, there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight this time around for Whose Line. The show’s ratings have dramatically increased with each season as fans of all ages spread the word about the on-the-spot comedy the show provides.
Perhaps the driving factor behind the show’s success is the great cast of comedians that have accompanied the series since the 90s. While there was a break in the series, they proved that they still had it in them once the show returned for another run on the CW.
All three regular cast members have quickly gained their own fan base from the show, and continue to cause laughter through situational comedy, dramatic acting, and inside jokes – many of which have been carried from the early episodes of the series.
The show has no doubt become one of the best and funniest shows on the CW, and with its great ratings, fans and critics know that it will be returning for another hilarious and exciting season. Just hop over to this entertainment website for more great television programming.

Beginning in 2005, Grey’s Anatomy has grown into a much loved television drama that follows the lives of five surgical interns at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. The show stars Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, and others. The series focuses on Dr. Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo) as viewers follow her personal and professional life through the stress, drama, and romance she experiences.
In its 11th season, Grey’s Anatomy has won sixty awards, including 2 Golden Globes, and has earned nearly 160 nominations. Daughter of the renowned surgeon Dr. Ellis Grey, over the years, fans of the show have watched Meredith make it through many challenges as she’s worked her way up in the hospital along with her fellow coworkers.
Fans have given the show a 7.7/10 on sites like IMDb. But, the latest reviewers have said the season 11 finale, which aired on the 14th of May, didn’t live up to the rest of the season, with many adding it was a great episode but a poor finale.
The season finale – and the entire 11th season itself – has portrayed some of the toughest times in the lives of many of the lead characters. In a recent interview, Sarah Drew (Dr. April Kepner) discussed the future of her relationship with Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) which was left on the rock in the finale. Sarah said she doesn’t think it’s over yet, and added that all Jackson has done is given her an ultimatum and April could choose to stay. Sarah also added it was possible the two characters will work it out some other way. She hinted that the next season could pick up right where it left off, but also made a point to add that it could skip ahead to after April and Jackson made their decisions (whatever that may be).
But, fans are speculating (and hoping) that next season will continue the finale instead of skipping ahead, given that the series did just make another huge time jump recently. When asked in the interview, Sarah wouldn’t give away any more details but said so far, it’s pretty much a mystery to her as well.
Wherever the next season picks up, it’s clear the lives of many characters have just changed drastically, especially with April considering joining the army (which could mean her leaving the show).
Even though Sarah wouldn’t share too many details, fans of the show have taken it upon themselves to speculate, with many sharing their hope that Jackson and April will work it out, and other’s expressing their sadness after the heavy plot this season.
The show left off with a huge amount of possibilities for next season, and with the actors not yet giving anything away, fans will have to keep guessing.
Season 11 brought the network an average of over 8 million viewers, and with all of the buzz about the finale, it’s likely even more fans will be jumping on board for season 12. Critics of the show have emphasized the slight drop in ratings the show has experienced over the past few seasons, though, but ABC has stood by the show.
The first season of the show received great ratings, and many users on sites like IMDb and Metacritic gave the first season an even higher score than the latest episodes. But, even with a slight drop in ratings it’s clear the show’s fan base is still strong, and the actors (and writers) see no end in sight with the 12th season already underway.
While some site’s ratings for the show have decreased with the last season, it seems fans on RottenTomatoes.com have remained satisfied with a 100% fresh rating, and 90% of watchers saying they liked it. The Huffington Post complimented the drama and romance, adding a few words on the realism the writers and actors are able to portray throughout the show. Entertainment Weekly praised the series by saying it was nice to see a drama/romance that pulled away from the typical soap opera tendencies of most shows in the genre.
Since its beginning, the show has always gotten early renewals and much attention from popular magazines which has helped contribute to the growing fan base and 200+ combined awards and nominations.
Season 12 is a little ways out, but actors and fans alike are waiting in anticipation to see what happens to the show’s greatest characters. While no one has spilled any details yet, we can expect to hear a little more about the show’s plans as season 12 gets closer to premiering.

Arrow is an American television series that features the DC Comics character Green Arrow as the show’s primary focus and airs on The CW cable network. Like other super-hero television series, Arrow features the costumed, crime-fighting protagonist in a modern day setting dealing with modern day crime. Green Arrow, whose real identity is billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, comes to fruition after Queen is stranded on a hostile island for years. Upon returning home, he vows to stop crime wherever he can, the bow and arrow his weapon of choice. Unlike in the comic books that focus around his new identity, Queen does not initially assume the alias Green Arrow.
Produced and written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg, the show takes a more realistic approach at the Green Arrow, fitting him in a modern day world where fantasy powers are more downplayed, a world where cunning and ability are highly valued. The series focuses instead on the humanity of Oliver Queen, and not merely his role as a superhero. Questions leading into his time on the island and how that traumatic experience changed him to the core are central themes presented within the context of the story. Most of the episodes feature flashback scenes during which the audience is able to glean a bit more information about how his time on the island got under his skin and changed him, or forced him to think in new ways, merely to survive.
As the show progresses, the various ways in which Queen changed become manifest in his behavior. He begins tracking down, and sometimes even murdering, wealthy criminals. He begins rekindling old relationships, like the one with his ex-girlfriend, though she remains angry with him for his role in her sister’s death. As his crusade strengthens, aided in part by his friends Felicity Smoak and John Diggle, he uncovers a conspiracy to destroy the Glades, a poor, crime-infested part of Starling City.
Although a Green Arrow was present during Smallville from 2006-2011, the show’s producers decided to start fresh and featured a different Green Arrow. Wanting to distance themselves from the fame of Smallville and make their own name and create their own distinct Green Arrow, the producers cast Stephen Amell to play the role of Oliver Queen.
Arrow has received generally positive reviews from critics since its debut. As a show, it’s The CW’s highest rated brand new television series in five years, ensuring the continuation of the story over a few seasons, at least. The show had an average of nearly 3.7 million viewers per episode over the course of its first season. In addition, the show has won three awards, and has several nominations.
The first and second seasons of Arrow are available on Blu-ray and DVD. The third season of the show premiered in early October of last year, generating a spin-off series, The Flash, which premiered the day before. in January of 2015, Arrow was renewed for a fourth, 24-episode season, likely to air in the fall season of this year. NBC’s Grimm shocked fans during its last season when Nick, the titular ‘Grimm’ of the show, was unknowingly stripped of his powers by a vengeful Adalind. The only known chance for the spell to be reversed was ruined when the special drink Trubel was given by the Captain was broken and spilled at Monroe and Rosalie’s wedding.
In the first episodes of the current season, Nick has been dealing with his sudden loss of Grimm powers and looking for a way to reverse the curse. But there have been several moments where several characters—including Nick himself—wonder if he should even attempt to get his Grimm powers back. While it’s not very likely that the show will let its main character be without his special powers forever, there are some fans who think that making the risky choice to leave Nick without them might be better payoff in the future. Let’s look at some of the reasons for and against Nick getting his powers back on NBC’s Grimm.
Yea: It’s just not Grimm without, well—a Grimm!
Trubel is an interesting character, but the show just isn’t the same without Nick being able to see the different Wesen and attack them accordingly. Nick is much more experienced than Trubel, and her inexperience is more of a hindrance than an asset because she is not used to accepting what she sees or reacting to it in the best way possible.
Nay: It could be more interaction between supporting characters!
If Nick doesn’t have his Grimm powers, it could be up to supporting characters like Monroe, Hank, Trubel and others to pick up the slack. They may have to work together to identify Wesen and even confront them. This could be an interesting twist to the show which often relies on Nick doing the bulk of the leg work.
Yea: Without his powers, Nick will not able to fully explain things to Sergeant Wu
Sergeant Wu has been coming closer to the truth about the monster that he saw—and the truth about the existence of real Wesen—since the end of the last season. Eventually, Nick and Hank will have to reveal the truth to Wu, but if Nick does not have his Grimm powers at that time, he may not be able to fully convince Wu that he is telling the truth. Top Dog is a comedy-action film released in 1995 which stars Chuck Norris. The film centers on a policeman named Jake Wilder who is assigned a dog named Reno as a partner after Reno’s original police handler is killed. Jack and his new partner Reno are assigned to a case about a domestic terrorist plot and they must survive long enough to uncover the truth behind the attack and foil it. The following is everything you need to know about Reno and the film Top Dog.
Reno was a Briard!
Although the film never explicitly states Reno’s breed, the dog actor (and his stunt doubles) who played Reno was a Briard. The Briard is a type of herding dog which originates from France and has been around since at least the 14th century. Briards were very popular in France and around the world because of their loyalty, strength and intelligence. Famous historical figures, including Napoleon and Thomas Jefferson, are all believed to have owned Briard dogs. The dog was even used for military purposes during WWI, although this use almost caused the breed to become extinct.
Dogs like Reno really are used for police work
One of the criticisms often laid against the movie is the fact that Reno does not look like the typical police dog; in other words, he is not a Rottweiler or German shepherd. However, despite their fluffy appearance, Briards are actually frequently used for police work in addition to military work and on search and rescue missions. The dogs are highly intelligence and are considered a great asset too many types of police work.
The film was the last Chuck Norris movie to be released in theaters
Although Chuck Norris is something of a cult figure today, his popularity began to wane in the 1990s. Top Dog was the last film Chuck Norris starred in that was released theatrically; afterwards, his films were all direct to video movies.
The movie was a box office bomb
Top Dog received mostly negative reviews, and its box office performance reflected its negative press. Many of the negative reviews criticized the film because it took too many elements from similar “dog” movies, such as Turner and Hooch and K-9. The film was produced on a budget of about $6 million, but the box office only took in about $5 million.

It would seem that life in the survivor’s camp has never been so difficult. Carol was cast off, disease is ravaging the camp, the fence is about to come down. Yes, the fence that serves as the main barrier between the walkers and the camp. Obviously, this is a big problem.
While the fence collapsing and scenes of a wave of walkers being fought off builds some drama, it’s hard to feel anything but underwhelmed at this episode. Last week’s episode was amazing, full of suspense, and a major character got sent away. This week, we expected more about that and some serious drama to go down. Instead, we got only more walkers being bashed in the face, shot at, and so on.
Rick returns to camp and tells Maggie what happened with Carol. This scene is particularly unsatisfying, and she merely remarks that he did the right thing. That was it. He did also tell Hershel, but the reaction wasn’t shown. I’m extremely curious about his take on it, being a man of medicine and a typical level-headed, good soul.
Hershel was, by far, the star of this episode. He was calm as the infected became walkers and did what he had to do. More profound quotes came out of this episode, as he explains that “a sad soul can kill quicker than a germ”. This is amazing. The quote was borrowed from Steinbeck, and it’s a nice way the show highlights Hershel’s inner thoughts. What is the link between emotion, the will to live, and actually surviving? This is a question viewers are asking more each week, as the camp has to endure more and more hardship with little relief in sight. He also says there is a plan, a reason for this all happening to them. Maybe. The episode concludes his part of the episode with a shot of him sobbing in his cell. He’s a hero, and even heroes cry sometimes.
Lizzy’s attempt to lure walker Henry away from Glenn as she would a dog was a little strange. Viewers thought she’d fight with Carol’s trusty knife, but it was a no-go. She somehow just happens to trip over her own shoes and Hershel must come to her rescue. While brave, it begs the question about Lizzy’s ability to have that ‘killer instinct’ if she needs it. It seems like the answer may be no, but we hope to be proven wrong if worse comes to worse. Maggie’s attempt to break into the prison after she hears the news of trouble is just laughably stupid. Her axe breaks on the door and she’s useless. It would seem everybody except Hershel was just kind of useless in this episode, and it’s not looking to good for the camp. Lizzy also swirls her shoe in a bloody puddle, which was honestly vomit-inducing. If you’re feeling confused after this episode, you’re far from alone.
Oh, and did we mention The Governor is standing right outside the camp, eye-patch and all? Looks like things are about to get even more intense for our survivors.
